Get a Motorola 2-pin earpiece for the finest cost

We spend a lot of time writing about Motorola 2 way radios, so we’ve chosen to do a succession that concentrates on the earpieces that link up to them.

Not only do a amount of decent businesses manufacture top-of-the-range walkie talkies that are both affordable and reliable, there are additionally a large array of radio earpieces that range from cheap and cheerful (but nonetheless effective) to the last word in techno badassery (Editor’s Note: not actually a word).

So, kicking off our new five-part run celebrating walkie talkie earpieces, is the Motorola 2-pin earpiece.

Amazon lists this earpiece at a paltry £17.50, but the GP300 earpiece is surprisingly high spec for such a cheap device.

First of all, it is completely versatile, as it fits into any 2 pin Motorola two way radio. It may not be the greatest earpiece ever created, but it will fit with any number of diverse Motorola 2 way radios. On the other hand, I must say that the Motorola 2-pin earpiece does need an adaptor block to operate with Motorola GP320 and Motorola GP340 series radios (oh well, you cannot have everything!)

Secondly, the sound quality is superb; there will be no misunderstandings or failed comms when the GP300 earpiece is in use, that is for sure. For such a cheap device, it in fact reproduces noises amazingly clearly.

Thirdly, here are the features. These features are a bit thin on the ground when contrasted with some of the costlier Motorola units, but they still improve the user experience and add to the complete product.

Want illustrations? Well, the Motorola 2-pin earpiece is ergonomically made to fit your ear channel comfortably and is effortlessly able to wear in either the left or the right ear (whichever you happen to favour).

It also has an in-built ‘push to talk’ switch, so you’re not dependent on your walkie talkie’s controls in order to send an outgoing message. It also has a sprung metal clothing clip that attaches the GP300 earpiece to what you happen to be wearing, enabling you to be discreet, as well as to prevent tangling yourself up in wires.

On the whole, the GP300 is a fine 2 way radio earpiece. A variety of businesses have created better ones and I wouldn’t propose this one if President Obama asks your company to guard him on his next family skiing holiday, but for most intents and tasks, the GP300 earpiece gets the job done.

In our next episode, we’ll be taking a look at the GP340 earpiece, but for more information on the full range of Motorola 2-pin earpieces visit earpieceonline.co.uk
